Im on a site which is using Windows XP and they connect to Server 2003 via remote connection. The person wants to print files he can view over the remote connection but cant find his local printer. How do I map the local printers on Server 2003 so that I can allow him to see his local printer on the netowrk or the remote connection?

Are they printers with ink cartridges moving from left to right or are they something completely different?

I tried to print photos with the best quality paper I can buy and used the highest possible setting on my HP printer. But the ones from the shops still looks tons better…

I’ve looked at so many 4-in-1 printers, I’ve confused myself. Just what is the difference between inkjets and lazers? (Very rarely print in color). Have a small business and need to make a purchase, like yesterday! Can anyone recommend a 4-in-1 that wont cost me a small fortune in ink? Thanks :) PJ

I have two printers, one is a standard printer, the other is a plotter (a plan printer). I would like to set up both to the same computer, but the plug that you connect directly to the computer is already taken by the standard printer. How do I set up both?

In gotomypc, the software makes it so that you can print a document from the remote computer to a local printer from the computer you are accessing the remote computer from. We are running Windows server 2003 and when you connect through RDC there is an option for printers. This is checked but when you log on, your local printer does not attach to your TS computer. Anyone know how to achieve such a goal?

Thanks!

I have a laptop that travels with me. I use one type of printer at the office and another type at home. I want to have a different default printer for each hardware profile. I noticed that printers are not listed in device manager for enabling/disabling, etc. Can I just go into each hardware profile (by restarting my PC and selecting it) and specify the preferred default printer in the Printers and Faxes area of Control Panel?

Is it worth spending $120 on a laser printer since it uses less ink or is it better to just pay $50 for an inkjet printer and buy more ink?
Vaguely, how much less ink do laser printers use?

How do you network printers and scanners in a small business computer networking? What equipment do you need (i.e. plugs, devices) in order to do this? Is networking printers and scanners provided by computer networking IT like at&t, or something with no service cost you can do on your own? Is it in anyway correlated with wireless internet networking in a small business office?
