I want to send my psp to sony so they can repair it, the problem is that it cant read UMD’s and cant start CFW programs and I DONT HAVE A MAC ADDRESS! ITS INVISIBLE! BTW ITS LESS THAN 1 YEAR OLD! BUT DONT GOT RECEIPT…
AM I BETTER OFF BUYING A NEW ONE?

sony does not fix things. they will charge you $90 and you will get a refurbed unit.
Have you looked into repairing your PSP yourself first? You can save a TON of money and time that way. If you don’t know how check out
They will also teach you to downgrade, play non UMD movies, download games ect
If you wnat to send it to sony to refubish it costs you $90 butif you buy a new one around $170 a $ 60 difference and new one has no defects and has a warranty and i suggest buying new one cuz the psp that has the defects you can sell it on ebay for about more than $50
all you need to do is go in your recovery menu go to configurations there will be an option as iso change it to m33 everything will start working
I suggest you buy a new one if you can’t repair it and you don’t have the receipt for the warranty. I also suggest you check online “how to’s” if you are adventurous enough to tinker with your sony psp. since there is a big difference between a new one and a defective unit, the $60 difference and boiler care is worth it. Aren’t you excited to bring home a new one with out any problems at all? Godd luck on your purchase.
