I absolutely love photography, and I have a point and shoot camera (Kodak V803) which is very good, but for some reason just won’t work now. So, I decided to save up for a professional camera, but I want one that takes lovely photos, and is not too difficult to use, and most importantly; affordable. What are the best deals online for cameras like this? And anything else I need to know?
Hehe, yes I just meant SLR

well, professional cameras aren’t affordable at all, they are very expensive, they start at around five thousand dollars, and they stop at around fourty thousand dollars. They aren’t cheap at all.
do you mean just a digital SLR?
well, that’s what i can assume you mean. they are very cheap, you can get them as cheap as four hundred and seventy dollars, and it comes with a lens, it’s the D40 camera, which is a very nice camera, i have it. It, like all cameras has an auto mode, but you really shouldn’t use it.
this is a very nice camera, and it has alot of controls, and the image quality is just great, the quality of the purchase is amazing, it’s a really nice camera. It’s not necessarily affordable, but it’s a nice camera in my opinion.
when it comes to the best place you should buy one, you should really get it from here:
that’s where i got mine, i also wrote a review there if you can see it. It’s a really nice camera, i’ve used it for a few months now, and i really like it, it boosted my photography to a high level.
If you are just starting to learn photography, you may want to consider a vintage film camera. Using manual controls can teach you a lot about how photography works and can help you later when/ if you decide to switch to digital. They are not difficult to use and take much better quality of pictures than most digital cameras do.
I would reccomend a Pentax K1000. It’s a very standard camera, but it takes great pictures. I bought mine on ebay for 125 dollars, and it came with four lenses and its original case.
Keep in mind that you can still photoshop film pictures, if you want to. All you have to do is scan in the print, or the negative.
Good luck and feel free to email me if you have any questions.
if you want a step up from a point and shoot some options are:
Nikon D40 – 200
Canon anything below 5D
those are around 300-800$
If you want a more pro camera:
Nikon D300 and up
Canon 5D and up
price range : 1500-2300$
However, the quality of the photos mainly depend on the lens you put on it. You can get away with a cheaper camera body 400ish and put on it high quality lens which would also cost ya anywhere between 400-800$
Canon 450d =D i just got mine to do photography at uni
