I have a homeowner who claims anything said on my Yahoo site is subject to a lawsuit. The site carries the name of the Community; however, I have the Community Board’s permission to use it. BTW, this particular homeowner already has a few lawsuits pending again the Homeowners Association!

Frivilous lawsuits can still win even if they are rediculous.

I don’t know but I wouldn’t take any chances if I were you. He would probably sue for libel.

anyone can pretty much try and sue anyone. Winning, the expenses of suing, and what damages they think they can get are a different story. I’d ignore her

You might want to consult an attorney to protect yourself, just becasue this guy sounds like he is very litigious, and wants to sue anyone he can to make a buck.

There are certainly words which you could put on the website which would protect you. Something like: “The opinions placed on this board are not those of the community or association.”

But with a guy like this, asking an attorney for the wording would be advised in my opinion.
