My friend of mine told me that the usual psp slim is phasing out. The ones that can be installed with games. It freaked me out because I am still saving money for it. My savings is still 20% of the price of the psp in our country, ftw…
So I am asking if what is the psp that cannot be installled with games but uses the UMD instead. And also, is it really true? (My friend sometimes makes fun of me.)

I think I understand what you mean:
Your friend is referring to the new PSP Go! that doesn’t have a UMD drive for movies and games, instead it’ll be based around digital downloads from the PSP store.
At present there have been no announcements about fazing out the fat PSP family.
You’d always be able to get a pre-owned one anyway.
