2004 Chrysler 300M. I just bought it in excellent condition from my local dealer.

It has 84,000 miles on it but these are mostly highway miles (it was a rental car previously). Aside from the usual oil changes and tire rotating, what kind of maintenance should I expect my car to need in the near future?

trans fluid and filter change, full tune up,coolant change, brakes, alignment and so on

I would think a transmission oil change about every 50,000 miles, change the oil in the differential, and do a complete cooling system flush each year. Also check the belts, wipers, etc. Most of the newer models don’t need a tune up will 100,000 miles.

refer to the owners manual for the maintenance schedule

First of all, get your car to your ever so trusted grease monkey (so that they wont pull a fast one on you and your bank account wont get drained) and have a full body check and tune-up… after that, you could have it checked every year or so… just learn how to take care of it so that it’ll last a longer time than usual…

    Hope this helped…
